Day 1: Lisbon to Coimbra (363 Km)
The adventure begins in Lisbon. We will ride from Belém to Cascais by the riverside on the way to Cabo da Roca - the westernmost extent of mainland Portugal and continental Europe. Then we hit the road and ride till the beautiful Sintra, also known as "the city of love”. Our next destination is the amazing Center-West Atlantic coast. In our way, we will pass through fishermen and surfers villages (Peniche and Nazaré). We’ll pass on one of the most beautiful sea side roads, called the Atlantic road. We continue the road till Coimbra, the final stop of the day. Here will have dinner and spend the night.
Day 2: Coimbra to Crato (304 Km)
After breakfast we get our bikes and we are ready for one of the best riding days. Today we ride along with the 26 schist villages that are spread across the central region between Coimbra and Serra da Estrela. This lovely villages reflects an old-world charm that accentuate the greatness of Portuguese culture. After climbing till the highest continental spot we’ll have a tasty lunch in a nice restaurant on “the top of world”! In the afternoon, we head to the beautiful region of Alentejo. We end the day in the delightful and Moorish village of Crato. Here will have dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Crato to Tavira (350 Km)
Today we leave behind the beautiful city of Crato and head to Algarve. Riding on Alentejo’s roads we will enjoy beautiful landscapes sprinkled with the cork tree and vineyards. Going down to Algarve near by the Guadiana’s River we will find lovely small villages all with the influence of the Arabic architecture, because of their strong domain in the Iberian Peninsula As we reach in Algarve, the odor of the beach and sea joins us as the warm temperature. Tavira is an amazing Portuguese town that is situated on the eastern side of the beautiful Algarve coastline and it is the place where we will spend the night.
Day 4: Tavira to Sagres (237 Km)
Today we leave behing the charming town of Tavira and we will ride our motorcycles through Portugal’s playground. A mix between the mountains and the beach. The two mountains Monchique and Caldeirão lead us to their famous mountain roads and views. The final stop of the day is the lovely municipality of Vila do Bispo, in Sagres. Here we will see the place where the ancients believed the land ended and sea began.
Day 5: Sagres - Sagres
Today you are free to enjoy the beach and sun of Algarve. If you want to try different sports and activities in the sand and sea, Sagres is the perfect place. A ride outside of town will take you at the Cabo Sao Vicente, the most westerly point of mainland Europe or to the Sao Vicente National Park, a region of remote beaches and stunning natural beauty. You also can visit the only one main tourist attraction in town, the unique Fortaleza de Sagres with its special design that protected the town from raiders from North Africa.
Day 6: Sagres to Lisbon (326 Km)
Today is the final day of our journey. We live behind the place we spend the night and we head to Lisbon, wiggling our way though one of Europe’s widest coastlines, and certainly one of the most exciting as well. This beautiful coast is a paradise for every surfer’s and adventure seeker’s. The coast has razor sharp cliffs which serve as a wall to the relentless pounding of the Atlantic. Before we reach our final destination will spent a great time here sitting comfortably in a empty cliff, eating some grilled fish and chatting with the locals. After we arrived Lisbon it is the end of our amazing journey.
