Tour Details:


Day 1 CHICAGO AREA – CHILICOTHE, OHIO 400 miles

In the early morning, will meet for breakfast and we’ll have a short brief. After that we take our bikes and ride SE through Illinois, Indiana and Ohio. We will ride mostly on interstate highways and after a long ride will end the day in Chillicothe, Ohio.

Day 2 CHILICOTHE – WAYNESBORO 325 miles

Today we will continue riding towards SE in Ohio and then into West Virginia. Today’s ride will be a mixture of road types but the riding starts getting good. We’ll spend a wonderful evening in Waynesboro, Virginia. Which is located at the North end of the Blue Ridge Parkway. Dinner and overnight in Waynesboro.

Day 3 WAYNESBORO – HILLSVILLE 200 miles

Today we’ll enjoy a great ride in the east. The Blue Ridge Parkway (BRP) is a road 469 miles in length with no stop signs, no stop lights, no gas stations and no commercial advertising along its way. It has a 45 MPH speed limit so you can enjoy the ride along the way. We will ride approximately 100 miles before we get off the BRP for a good lunch and gas. The final stop of the day will be in Hillsville, Va.

Day 4 HILLSVILLE – ASHEVILLE 200 miles

After breakfast we will continue riding south on the BRP. It is time to leave behind Virginia and follow the BRP into North Carolina. There are 37 tunnels on the BRP. One of them it is in Virginia and the rest are in North Carolina. Overnight and dinner in Asheville.

Day 5 ASHEVILLE- STECOAH 135 miles

Today is our last day on the BRP. On our way to Cherokee, we will stop in Maggie Valley to tour the “Wheels through Time Motorcycle Museum”. After a great day of riding we’ll spend the next two nights in Stecoah, NC.

Day 6 STECOAH – STECOAH 145 miles

Today we take our bikes and ride from Stecoah to Deals Gap, the south end of the Tail of the Dragon. You will be able to ride The Dragon where the speed limit is 30 MPH. Before we return back to Stecoah, we will enjoy a great ride over the Cherohala Skyway. After a full day of riding on some amazing roads we return in Stecoah to have dinner and spend a relaxing night.

Day 7 STECOAH – OWENSBORO, KENTUCKY 380 miles

This will be one of our longer riding day as we will begin our ride home. We take our bikes and head west back across the Cherohala Skyway and then continue north into Tennessee and Kentucky. We will spend the night near Owensboro Kentucky.

Day 8 OWENSBORO – CHICAGO AREA

Today is the last day of our journey. After breakfast we continue to head NW into Indiana and Illinois. This will be a 345 mile riding day but mostly on the flat and straight roads of Illinois. We’ll reach back in Chicago area in time for our last dinner together.
