Day 5 Puyuhuapi – Coyhaique (230 km)

Today we take our bikes and ride on an unpaved road that will lead us along the banks of the fiord and round the hairpin bends of the rain-washed mountains of Chilean Patagonia. From the summit, we’ll admire stunning waterfalls and glaciers before descending to rejoin the asphalted road. On our way to the final destination of the day, we’ll have the chance to ride through grassland, surrounded by rocky peaks and the sight of multi-colored expanses of flowers. Day 8 Gregores - El Calafate (315 km)

The gravel road and the wind will be tough for half of the day, but will be compensated with the views of the Viedma and Argentino lakes. We return to the paved road and stop for lunch in the historic estancia that gave refuge to Butch Cassidy, the Sundance Kid and Ethel Place when in flight after a robbery. The excellent road surface will take us as far as El Calafate, the final stop of the day. This vibrant city famous for its nightlife movida, will be our host for the next two nights.

Day 9 El Calafate (Perito Moreno)

Today is time to explore the beautiful Los Glaciares National Park, located at the foot of the majestic Perito Moreno Glacier. In the evening you are free to spend your time as you like. Overnight in El Calafate.

Day 10 El Calafate - Torres del Paine (310 km)

Today Ruta40 leaves from El Calafate, alternating between paved and unpaved, but without sparing us the wind, which in this region blows with gusts that can reach 130 km/h. We’ll end the day with a spectacular dinner based on extraordinarily fresh king crab.
