Passo di Foscagno is a high mountain pass located in the Alps in the province of Sondrio, northern Italy. The pass is traversed by the SS 301 road.

Passo di Foscagno is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 2,291 above the sea level, located in the Alps in the province of Sondrio, northern Italy. The pass is traversed by the SS 301 road.
It connects Bormio in the east and Livigno in the west. The Passo di Foscagno is recommended in a tour combination with the Forcola di Livigno. The best way is to enter the Valley of Livigno over the Forcola di Livigno and leave it by the Passo di Foscagno.
There are 3 possible routes to reach the summit. Starting from Ponte del Rezz, the ascent is 4.61 km long. Starting from Isolaccia, the ascent is 15.4 km long. And starting from Bormio, the ascent is 24.25 km long.
This route also includes the subsidiary Eira Pass (2209 m) which lies between the Foscagno Pass and Livigno itself. Here lies the village of Trepalle, part of Livigno municipality, and one of Europe's highest inhabited parishes.
The pass is located on the main alpine watershed. Water on the north side of the pass flows down into the Inn and Danube, whereas water on the south side flows down into the Adda and Po.
TIPS FOR TRAVEL
- The Passo di Foscagno is recommended in a tour combination with the Forcola di Livigno. The best way is to enter the Valley of Livigno over the Forcola di Livigno and leave it by the Passo di Foscagno.
